2008-10-30: I have adapted the NeXML system to create an XML Schema directly from the NeXus Meta-DTD templates of the NeXus scattering science data format, using the Eclipse XSD API, and I have created Java bindings and a NeXus model instance editor using the Eclipse Modelling Framework (EMF).

2008-07-10: Movies of synthesis of audio and video from signals from accelerometers of wireless "Wiimotes" by the Drancing accelerometer music system are now available online. Synthesis was performed in a PureData rapid prototype of DranceWare for Mac OS-X. You can download and try an UNSUPPORTED prototype for Mac OS-X.

Hi, my name is Darren Kelly, and this is my business and education site which is:

• modelled in the Unified Modelling Language (UML)^TM
• served dynamically with JavaServer Pages (JSP)
• composed and structured in Extensible Markup Language (XML)
• transformed to HTML and formatted with Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL)
• styled with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

It explains and demonstrates how it works as it works, using "UML feedback". The site is organised primarily by the many technologies I have employed, examples of which are presented here - taken mostly from this site, and from my IT, science, and technology projects.

Throughout the site I use the following popular IT imperatives suggestively and often humorously:

I advocate a Model-Representation-Controller (MRC) approach to software development, as opposed to the visually prejudiced Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern, and thus this site will become increasingly accessible to blind users, and will provide aural content to complement visual content (as the Drancing gestural instrument does). I recommend that you use your body mindfully to interact with this site via your chosen computer interfaces ergonomically, as the world moves away from primitive and damaging QWERTY keyboards towards completely gestural interaction using accelerometers.
