You have received this invitational newsletter because you are known professionally to Dr Darren Kelly - the proprietor of Webel IT Australia. To unsubscribe please use the link below this newsletter.
This month's issue is all about web, and introduces three new dynamic Drupal-driven Content Management System (CMS) web sites developed by Webel IT, Australia. Each new site demonstrates special features of Drupal, such as: database-managed product promotion in the new Ethical eMarket; Drupal Ubercart eCommerce with PayPal integration in the new PLAY digital music and art shop; and custom theming and rapid porting of the Webel kit of well tested Drupal modules to create client sites - like Time2Exercise for fitness expert Hadyn Muir. Visit also the overview of Webel's Drupal CMS web site services, and this online slideshow of client sites and demonstration sites.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter issue, and please forward it to friends and colleagues.
Yours Dynamically,
Dr Darren Kelly BSc PhD (Bondi, Sydney, Australia)
PS: Next issue will be about graphical software and systems engineeering with UML, SysML, Java and XML. |

The Ethical eMarket site developed by Webel puts an ethical spin on affliate marketing, with evolving "ethical" criteria and policies for the recommended products, which are influenced by votes, comments on products, and forum discussions from registered users. I have personally selected each promoted product, so if you think something there is "unethical", please join to cast your vote and have your say ! Ethics come before profit.
|
|
This site also showcases Drupal's Custom Content Type (CCK) and custom Views technologies, and manages all affiliate product data and links (as well as product metadata) from multiple sources via database, to be processed by a custom PHP-based accounting module - which you can now help me test by buying lots of ethical products referred from the site. Now that's ethical, I say ! |

The PLAY music and art site serves as the Drupal Ubercart eCommerce demo for Webel. Buy original music MP3s and digital media online using your PayPal account (or using your credit card via PayPal), and see Drupal media modules at work - or should I say, at PLAY.
|
|
And to celebrate the launch of this new Content Management System web site, PLAY has released a new richly layered 6/4 "double waltz" version of the blues/soul track 'I would not (have to be cool)', with keyboards and vocals by Darren Kelly (in Sydney) and very electric guitar by Michael Teske (in Berlin), brought together via the internet for mixing in Sydney with Ableton Live.
You can also now buy the organic electro album After Work in Hamburg and the piano improvisations album Just Grand as MP3 albums online, or just buy individual MP3 tracks. You can hear MP3 extracts of all tracks online free. And check out the new animated version of the PLAY "sound circles" logo, with synchronised sound synthesised in PureData/GEM. |

Australian fitness guru Hadyn Muir's Time2Exercise web site was migrated to Drupal CMS technology faster than Hadyn can do a salute to the sun yoga move ! The site features exercise class timetables using custom Drupal CCK types and Views, Drupal forums, and lots of image galleries showing Hadyn and his Time2Exercise clients and classes in action. Join Hadyn on the forums to discuss exercise, fitness, and healthy lifestylse, or take a trip with the man himself on a Yogo Adventure Retreat on the beautiful Fraser Island off the Queensland coast in Australia.
|
|
Because of the Content Management System (CMS) web site strategy, Hadyn - who is a yoga expert, not an IT expert - can now mostly manage his own web site content, blogs, and forums independently, for many years to come.

While clients may choose to have a site developed on any suitable web hosting company's servers, I recommend Lunarpages for sites that use the PHP5 language, MySQL databases, and Drupal CMS. |

With rich text, blogs, forums, galleries, video and audio, block layout, keyword search links and tag clouds, AJAX menus, shopping cart, search-friendly URLs .. you name, it Drupal has a module for it, and if not, it's easy to write custom modules in PHP. And the developer community is growing strong ! |
