4. The horizontal icon-based AppleKey+Tab equivalent is also better in KDE, because it only lists those window within a given space (and those that are sticky), so you stay within the zone. | Webel IT Australia "The Elements of the Web"

KDE3.5: ALT TAB gives nice vertical list with rows indicating the application by icon and the window title as text

Unlike Mac OS X Leopard COMMAND+TAB, the list is restricted to those Windows within a Space, it does not give the Applications list (which is available anyway as a very nice application button list in the KPanel anyway, and with what in Mac OS X are now called "stacks" or related Windows for each given App, but in the KDE version that Windows list is easier to read with Window Title and App icon).

Although the application titles get a but crowded, it's usually easy enough to tell what each app button is for by the icon. The Windows are accessible through what in Mac OS X Leopard are called "stacks".

And later:

'4. Horizontal icon view of Windows (optionally) only shows those Windows (with Application indicator) from the current Space, rather than the open Applications.'

Although not so clearly expressed here, it means the large active application icon-view you get on COMMAND+TAB(+TAB+TAB etc.) in Mac OS X. I have not found an equivalent to the KDE window lists (see images below). And I don't mean the Mac 'Window' menu group drop-down list of Windows which only shows Windows within a given Application, not all Windows for all Applications grouped by Space. Note that the KDE approach is a nice vertical list of Application icon+Window title rows, which is perfect.
