2. Understanding Java Platform, Enterprise Edition

Under UML™ Parsing Analysis both the UML model and the presentation of the resulting model - such as in a Content Management System (CMS) like Drupal™ - are structured to reflect the document structure of the original source document, and are hyperlinked (where possible with rich choice hyperlinking to multiple targets), with the fundamental unit of interest being a hyperlinked snippet of source text (usually a sentence).

This first node merely reflects the chapter structure. It's important to provide a context (in this case 'Your First Cup: An Introduction to the Java EE Platform') which can act as a navigation point up, and a other navigation points down into the model, so Models are hyperlinked to overview diagrams, which in UML may be Class Diagrams, or in SysML the dedicated Package Diagram.
