On 30 Jun 2007 HERA shut down and DESY celebrated 15 years of groundbreaking science
On Sat Jun 30 23:59:55 2007 the Hadron Elektron Ring Anlage (HERA) at Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) made its final run. I was delighted to be present in Hamburg, Germany at the celebration on Fri 29 Jun 2009, and to be in the control room that evening to see HERA in operation one last time.
