MagicDraw/Cameo 19SP3: Continuous and Discrete have metaclass [ActivityEdge, ObjectNode, Parameter] not just [ActivityEdge, Parameter] (via Rate), so may be applied directly to Pin and ActivityParameterNode

The SysML-1.6 figures and tables (but not the XML only have Extension relationships from Rate to Parameter, and from Rate to ActivityEdge, and a Generalization relationships from Continuous to Rate and from Discrete to Rate.

But the tool additionally permits Continuous and Discrete to be applicable to ObjectNode, so one can apply them directly to Pin and ActivityParameterNode, which may in fact be desirable in the case of Pins, because otherwise you can't (it seems) show the «continuous» keyword if only applied to the Parameter of an InputPin or OutputPin. (If «continuous» is applied to the Parameter of an ActivityParameterNode it "shines through" like a so-called secondary stereotype.)
