SysMLv1: Cameo Simulation Toolkit: HOWTO: Send a Signal via a nested Port using InvocationOnNestedPortAction and 'onNestedPort' together with 'onPort' [with mini video]

Gallery
Tutorial

A Signal NSig is sent from a part for NestTX to a part for NestRX. For comparison three Signal send cases are shown:

  1. Send direct to a 'target' rx:NestRX and not via any Connector (shown in light yellow).
  2. Send via the outer "nesting" Port oi:F_Nester via the outer Connector (shown in blue).
  3. Send via the inner nested Port o:F_NSig via the inner1 Connector (shown in magenta).
For tracking a String 'case' is used as an attribute of Signal NSig and printed at the receiver.

Note that:

Also, the naming of 'onNestedPort' in the SysMLv1 spec is slightly confusing, as here it is a "nesting" Port oi:F_Nester with a Type that HAS nested Ports, the nested Port o:F_NSig is assigned to 'onPort'.
